Good Night All

It's after 11 and I have to be at work at 6 in the morning so I will step down from my soap box and go to bed.

Good Night and May God Bless.

In My Opinion

To me and all of the members of the GLBT community that I have spoken with about gay marriage, this is for us not a religious issue. When will those that appose gay marriage get it through there thick heads that what we want is all of the rights and responsibilities given to any and all other legally recognized married couples. Not all legally recognized marriages are condoned by each and every religion. There are religions that to this day, here in the USA, do not recognize interracial/intercultural marriages but yet these marriages are recognized as legal by the judicial system of the United States of America. Therefore if a marriage must have religious approval to be legal, I believe that it must be recognized by ALL religions. I don't want the law to recognize my relationship with TCB to get God's approval. I am who I am because I am who God created me to be and as such he will not condemn me for it, so there for I already have his approval.

In My Opinion

Sometimes I think that the world is making to much of an issue of Obama's African American heritage, and not looking at his ability to lead this country in a positive direction for the next 4 to 8 years. We are almost a decade into the 21st century after all. And yet, electing some one that is not a white male to the presidency is a major step forward for equal rights in general and will hopefully continue to lead the way for equality for all. However, I must admit that Obama's stand on gay marriage is most disappointing.

A blow to gay rights

It's painfully ironic. Just as the first African American president was elected, that minority group was also overwhelmingly casting ballots in California in favor of Proposition 8, which bans same-sex marriage. It's "success" this week was a crushing blow to gay right. Barack Obama did not support the proposition, but he also does not support same-sex marriage for religious reasons. He hopes to steer from the center, so his stance is no doubt reassuring to some who apposed him. But some gay-rights activists say his failure to more strongly assert his influence in the California race set back the civil rights cause of our time.

Hubba Hubba

Name That Tune

Name the singer and the song......

They cry in the dark, so you cant see their tears

They hide in the light, so you cant see their fears

Forgive and forget, all the while

Love and pain become one and the same
