I get up at 5 to find even more snow on the ground(suck#1). Call work only to find that we are open(suck#2). Get lunch packed, get Belle in the truck, open the garage door, get in the truck and start it up, give it a couple of minutes to warm up. Belle is all bright eyed and bushy tailed just read to hit the open road(cute#1). Start backing out of the garage and get stuck half way up the driveway(suck#3). Throw a chain trying to get moving again(suck#4). Dig out truck, find chain, luckily undamaged, put chain back on(suck#5). My normal 12-14 minute morning commute takes just over and hour(suck#6). Get clocked in and ready to work only to find that instead of 8 hours of work I only have the material for about 4 hours(suck#7). After a couple hours of work I decide that it's time to take Belle out for a break, only to find that the truck that came out of the garage free of snow now has over 2" of fresh snow on it(suck#8). Grab a cig and head for the street(we are not allowed to smoke on the property(suck#9)). I stand out there for almost 10 minutes waiting for Belle to do her thing but all she wants to do is roll around it the snow(ok, cute#2). Get back inside and finish all of the sub assemblies for the order that ships tomorrow, then do inventory of the parts that I do have and coordinate with JS and scheduling to find that it will be at least another 3-4 hours before I get any parts(suck#10). Belle has been very popular, every one that passes by just has to stop and see her(cute#3). I've been at work for 4 hours, I have nothing to work on, its been snowing all morning so I decide to head home early. My afternoon commute usually is about 35 minutes, today it is a little over an hour, roads are much better. All morning the condition of my street was nagging at me as to weather I am going to have to park a block away in the school parking lot or not. Ok, just about home, turn off of Scholls to find that there has been some traffic on my street, keep foot steady on the gas and crawl along at about 10 miles and hour for the last block, turn into my drive way and suddenly come to a complete stop with almost half the truck sticking out in the street(suck#11). Spend the next 2 1/2 hours digging out the truck and getting it into the garage(suck#12). Get in the house and lay down on the couch to watch the weather on the TV and quickly fall asleep, wake up 2 hours later only to find that my nose has decide to run-a-muck(suck#13), so I have spent all evening dealing with a major head cold(suck#14), the only time I can breath through my nose is for a few brief second after sneezing(suck#15). On top of it all TBC is still snowed in at his house so there is no good suck(suck#16).
The tally for the day....
Cute 3
Suck 16
I'm going to bed now..............
