I'm Back......

Wow....

Didn't realize I had been gone so long, so here are some updates on what has been going on. Carpet has been installed, truck is fixed and looks like new, took my pc into work and let one of the IT guys have a go at it with great results (only cost me a $25 Starbucks gift card). Had the house re roofed and a real sky light replacing the cheep plastic crap in the kitchen, and TBC was at it again, he felt the the guest bath and utility rooms were black holes as they don't have any windows so he bought and had the roofer install Solar Dome's in both areas. Then found out that the electric issues in the garage were caused by the fact that the power was 200amp service tapped directly from the breaker box in the house. Not only is it illegal but also very dangerous to do that, so now I have 30amp service tapped from the meter as it should have been all these years. Have one more coat of paint to go on the back door that I added in the kitchen and a couple of pieces of trim and some painting in the guest room and I'll be ready to post pics of them.

Health wise, it's been a rough year for me and my family. I mid Oct I pulled ligaments in my shoulder, then passed a kidney stone in mid Dec and then another in early Jan, then in early Nov my stepfather had a hart attack followed a week later by sextuple by-pass surgery on his 70th birthday and then on Dec 23 my nephew hit a patch of ice while taking his girl friend home and totalled his truck, she was wearing her seat belt and ended up with a few bruises. BC was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown out the passenger side door and then the pickup landed on him causing major injuries to both hips, and we were all worried about him getting deployed to Iraq in late Jan. OK now for updates on all this. My shoulder is good as new without needing any PT or surgery, my stepfathers doc has released him to go back to work, Mom is so glad to get him out from under foot and BC's docs are very pleased with his progress but he has already received his medical discharge from the Army.

I have also posted a new poll that will close the end of Feb.

I have updated my blog roll as well so there should be no dead links.

More About Me

The last time I posted “My Life Story” I ended with Ladybear’s plane landing on schedule on Friday afternoon. We took the long way back to the house in Aloha so that I could show her some of the city as she had never been this far west before, I would have liked to have been able to make a quick trip out to the coast but that was not possible as she needed to be back at work at 9am Monday morning. When we got back to the house we continued to go thro things, what I would be taking with me, what would be picked up on Sat afternoon by a friend of mine and taken to Goodwill and what would be thrown away. It was 2am by the time we crawled in to bed, we were so tired that we just snuggled against each other and went right to sleep.
Saturday morning we packed what I was taking with me into the back of my ½ ton Sierra, went around and said my good byes to the neighbors. We hit the road at exactly 12:02 pm, it was a nice warm and sunny spring day. Heading east on I-84 through the gorge I was excited yet a bit apprehensive, while looking forward to starting a whole new life in OKC with The Bear and Ladybear and the kids I was still kinda wondering in the back of my mind if leaving Oregon was the right thing for me to do. I decided to stop at the last moment so Ladybear could at least see Multnomah Falls ( http://www.oregon.com/trips/multnomah_falls.cfm )from the visitors center. We hopped back in the truck and drove almost all the way to the Idaho border when we stopped for gas and dinner. We were back on the road at about 8, the skies were clear as night fall came. At about 10 LB got behind the wheel and I laid across the seat to get some sleep, I must have been more exhausted than I thought because I usually don’t do anything more than kinda drift in and out, but the next thing I know I am hearing the lady on the radio saying “it’s 3 am and snowing here in Laramie”, I quickly set up and look out the window to find it snowing so hard that you could only see a couple of hundred yards ahead, I grew up in Nebraska and she had grown up in upstate New York so driving in snow was nothing new to either of us. After giving me a few minutes to wake up she said that from about midnight to 2 we were only going about 45 mph because of blowing snow. I asked her why she didn’t wake me up to take over driving earlier she said that she was enjoying listening to me snore, knowing that I can snore loud enough to vibrate the neighbors house I decided to change the subject and told her to pull off at the next exit. We put the harness and leash on the cat (no she didn’t like that one bit) and we got out so that all three of us could stretch our legs.
Just before dawn we stopped for gas and breakfast. The sun was just coming over the horizon when we hit the road again now heading south towards Denver. Looked like in spite of last nights blizzard we were in store for another beautiful spring day. We skirted around the north east side of Denver and headed east again on I-70. At about 4 we were both so tired even though we had been trading off driving and getting cat naps that we decided to pull over and take a nap, so we pulled into a rest stop, got as comfy as we could in the truck, I had to hang my feet out the drivers window to be able to straighten my legs at all.
We woke to the sun shining directly in to the cab about an hour later. Clear skies above, some high clouds coming in from the west, it was looking a little dark on the western horizon though. That was a long way away so I didn’t give it anymore notice. Got back on east bound I-70 and then headed south on I-35 that would take us all the way to OKC. Night fall come rather early as a thunder storm hit not long before we hit the Oklahoma border. Now as a kid I loved thunder storms, but having not experience on in over a decade ( here in Oregon the don’t have a clue as to what a real thunder storm is like ) I was a bit nervous, the wind driven rain, the lightning, the thunder and fact of being on the road almost nonstop for more than thirty hours was making me a bit weary. LB snuggled up to me as I drove and we just kept on going. About an hour out of OKC the storm cleared and we seem to sail the rest of the way. I turned the truck off in the apartment complex parking lot in Moore (a south side suburb of OKC) at 12:32am, exactly 36.5 hours on the road. We grabbed the cat and the liter box, locked up the truck and headed inside. Miss B (LB’s 10 year old daughter from her first marriage) came stumbling out of her room just after we closed the front door, gave each of us a big hug and went right back to bed. LB decided that since she had me all to herself for the last two days that The Bear and I needed some bonding time so she tucked me into bed with TB and she went to sleep on the couch. TB stirred a bit, then realized I was there and gave me a kiss, then snuggled up to me with his back to my chest, pulled my arm around him and we both went right to sleep…..

Well its midnight here, so I’m off to bed. Good night everyone.

Lasik Update #6 and final

I had my 3 month follow up appointment this morning, individually I am seeing 20/20 in each eye but together I am still seeing 20/15, with numbers like that I didn't bother asking for an explanation. Dr G said that I can return to any and all of my previous activities with out any need to be concerned about my flaps, they have healed so well that she could only find half of the scar in my left eye and not quite 3/4 of it in the right eye. I'll say it once again...

So Well Worth The $4000.oo It Cost.

Cricket Wireless Broadband Sucks

I was getting ready to do some posting yesterday at about 1pm. When I tried to open my blog, "Internet explorer can not display the web page" was what I got, so I tried several other pages including the email that I had just logged out of, same thing. I rebooted, same thing, rebooted again, same thing, totally shut everything down for over 20 minutes, same result. Switched to my laptop, same result. Needless to say at this point I am TFPO. I get dressed, drive over to the corporate Cricket location. We spend the next 2 1/2 hours trying to figure out what is going on. There was already one customer there with I got there with the same problem, only he had to shut down his business for the day because he couldn't communicate with his customers( he was keeping calm even though he was loosing money by the minute, if I were in his place I would have been a PBFH). About an hour after I got there lady brought her router in with her laptop with the same issue. After 2 1/2 hours they finally find out the the "Tech Division" knew at 1:30 that the entire state of Oregon was with out service. They told me that were not expecting it to be up until some time this morning, surprisingly it was up by 7 last night.

I noticed something else while I was there that was not encouraging at all. 25 to 30 customers came in while I was there. Not one single customer was there to start service, each and everyone had issues, two week old phones that would not work, chargers that would not work, dropped calls, and several people with billing issues.

Once I get moved and find out what my options are I WILL BE LEAVING Cricket.

TFPO = Totally Fucking Pissed Off
PBFH = Phyco Bitch From Hell

House Hunting (Update)

Saturday TBC and I went to the Mfg Home Show in Salem and I put my order in on this house. It's a Skyline, 1404 sqft, 3bdr, 2bth, with lots of upgrades included in the show special pricing package. Now I just have 90 days to find a lot to be able to take advantage of this special. If I have to pay regular prices the price will go up about $14,000. I still need to go in and choose the colors and such.

More About Me

Well lets see. The last post about me was the kitchen floor incident. At that point I still hadn't been with a man, not that I hadn't had the opportunity, but being the silly old sentimental fool that I sometimes am, I wanted my first and I to have some kind of chemistry. Shortly after my coming out in therapy I went out and bought a new PC, it would run the software that I wanted to use to run my construction business, but it also had a modem, you guessed it. I starting going on line. In the first pic of two guys fucking(I have a copy of it around here somewhere) that I remember seeing, both guys had looks of such euphoria on there face that I decided that, what I would later find out is called being versatile, was the thing for me. Now all I needed was the right man.....

ok, a right man.....

ok, a man.

But where to find one. I had been in several of the gay bars in Portland years before(a story for another time). I'm a country boy so I went in search of the only gay country bar I new of, long gone, the Silverado was just to twinkish for me, every time I went to go the The Embers the line was wrapped around the block, I had heard of Darcelle's but didn't have a clue as to where it was, JJ's Backroom, not the kind of place to find the kind of encounter I was looking for. I didn't know about The Eagle, The Dirty Duck or CC's.

Then one night it happened. I discovered Yahoo Chat! The next thing I new I had all kinds of private chats going, but not a single one of them was with in 500 miles. Over the next few weeks I did develop friendships with several guys in NYC, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, London, Sidney, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Omaha.... a two hour drive.... from where I grew up. Now it was a 2 day drive stopping only for gas, food and restrooms. I had developed the ability to tell by the user name what a guy wanted. Then there was Bearcub26. I was in a smart ass mood so I IM'd him and said " I hope 26 is your age and not what you think your cock size is." The next thing I knew it was almost 3 in the morning and I had been chatting with Bearcub26( later to be known as THE Bear) for at least 4 hours. Nice younger guy, 27(I was 37 at the time)5'6, 155#, big broad hairy chest, versital/bottom, in Oklahoma City(Shit). Well we ended up chatting for several hours every night for the next several days. Then the big discovery. Most of the time I wasn't chatting with him, I was actually chatting with his wife.......

HIS WHAT??????????????

Yes!!! His wife.

After that point they would always let me know which one I was chatting with and when they switched. Well after several weeks of chatting with them, we progress to adding a couple of phone calls each week($400 phone bills became quite common....ouch).

Finally we decided that it was time to meet face to face. They bought me a round trip plane ticket, so I went to OKC for 10 days. The sex with her was great, with him it was .... it was..... it was..... confusing. Being new to this I figured it would get better with time. Well, anyway on day 9 they sat me down to talk and asked me to move to OKC to be with them and her two kids(I had known about the kids way back in the first week of chatting). The only thing I had to look forward to back in Oregon was a cold empty house that had been on the market for almost a year and a failing business, so I said yes.

So I went back to Oregon to finish the last few jobs and close down my business. I would be in OR for a month taking care of things and at that point Lady Bear would fly out and we would drive back to OKC since they didn't want me to make that drive alone. By half way throe the 3rd week every thing was set, all my jobs had been completed and had been paid for, since I couldn't fit everything in my pickup I put all my tools in storage and we would make and trip out later to get them, all I had to do was wait another week and a half for Lady Bear to fly out. I was chatting with her on Wednesday evening and she suddenly said I gotta go make a quick phone call(we were both on dial up service). Fifteen minutes later I got a call on my cell phone, it was her, she asked if I could be packed and ready to go on Saturday, I said yes, she said I'll call you back in a few minutes. About 5 minutes later he called and said that her plane would land in PDX at 11am on Saturday. The next day I called my ex wife and told her that I was leaving a week early and she could to what ever she wanted with the furniture and things that I left in the house, she could keep it, give it to Goodwill or leave it for the new owners when it finally sells.

Lady Bear's plane lands right on time....

Ok. Cricket Wireless Broadband just fucked up and disconnected causing me to loose the writing I had just done on the trip to OKC, so since it is getting late and I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow I will sign off and finish this post later.

I survived round one.....

Tuesday morning at work my team lead and I noticed that the production manager was taking people to the front and they were not comimg back. Needless to say when you have been there as long as I have you know exactly what is going on. The tension in the air gets thicker with each person taken to the front and not returning. Finaly at 1PM a department meeting is called, my team lead and I look at each other and say "lay offs are over". The meeting consists of a breif statemant of what and why. Management was hopping that by more extensively using the work share program we could avoid any lay offs, but that didn't help as much as hoped. 15% company wide lay off. They said they went a rather deep with the cuts as to hopefuly avoid haveing to to this again.

12 X 2

He spoils me. I don't clean out the cat box or take out the trash but maybe once every couple of months. I'll spend the day at work siking my self up to mowing the lawn after work only to get home and find that he has already done it. I can't even remember the last time that I bought toilet paper or paper towels and yet haven't run out of them in ages. He finds woodworking tools at garage sales and Goodwill. I'll go to bed with a few dirty dishes in the sink and the next day when I get home they have been washed. And we don't live to gether yet.....

Tuesday evening was a bitch, between ESmartTax( correction EStupidTax) and getting kicked off line by Cricket braud band 26 times in less than an hour, you get the idea......

Wednesday when I get home this is what I find waiting for me.......

House Hunting update

Well the lot I was looking at is sale pending for someone else, will know on the 31st if it goes through. Found the manufactured home I want. 1400 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, the walk in pantry is almost as big as the master bath. If all goes as hoped I will be getting it for $60,000 with lots of goodies. If I go to the Oregon Manufactured Home Show in Salem in mid February and place my order for the house that is on display(it has most if not all of the available up grades) for a package price of 60K, it would normally list for over 75K, it has some features that I can live with out so I can omit those and make other changes that I want to add. The great thing is that if I can't get financing or find a lot after a yet unspecified amount of time I can just walk away with out spending a single penny. This house is so new that they haven't even got the floor plan on their website yet.

Cross your fingers for me guys, I really want this to happen.

Lasik Update #6

Last Thursday I had my 3 week follow up appointment. Healing is doing so well that now I only use the wetting drops 4 times a day. My next and final appointment will be in April. They gave me a DVD of my surgery. As soon as I can figure out how to, I will post the video.

House hunting.....

As I have mentioned before I have been putting a lot of time into looking into some property and a manufactured home to put on it is the reason why I have not been doing a lot of posting latly. The first post below is the one that I really want and the second post is the house that I can afford. The interesting thing is they are the same floor plan. 200 sq ft and as near as I can tell somewhere around $60,000 difference....

The house I really want.....

The house I will probably get....

ESmartTax.com ... SUCKS

For the last few years I have filed my taxes using http://www.efile.com/ with great success. Well to save a few bucks I chose esmarttax.com this year. NEVER again will I use esmarttax.com. It starts out just like efile, 'section 1' choose your return form (1040EZ), 'section 2' you put in your personal info followed by 'section 3' inputting your W-2, 1099, etc... info. I completed my federal return 'section 4' and upon reaching the review page for the return it said that I didn't want direct deposit. This is where things start going down hill (more like willfully jumping off a cliff). I hit the indicated "help" (help .... yah right) button and it said to put my bank account and routing numbers in lines 12c and 12d, so I go back to the beginning and search for the opportunity to do so (3 times), there is no line 12c and 12d. So I contact support and explain the issue. At this point I am some where between irritated and aggravated. While waiting for their reply I continue on to fill out 'section 5', my state form (OR Form 40S), it goes relatively smoothly, but wait!!!, what's this????? Do I want the State of Oregon to direct deposit my huge refund of $14 to my checking account? I click yes, the page refreshes and low and behold there are the spaces for me to input my account and routing numbers, my state return is now ready to file. I go back to the review page for the federal return and it still says that I don't want direct deposit. OK, now I'm somewhere between aggravated and irked, so I check to see if I have gotten a response from support, yes, it says that to get direct deposit on my federal return I must continue on to 'section 6' where it will give me the option of choosing direct deposit. Now I'm some where between irked and disgusted. Finally both returns are completed, time to pay and file. $6.99 to file the federal and $7.00 to file state for a total of $13.99 (less than half the cost of using http://www.efile.com/), I put in my payment info and click "File Returns". Ok, it's done. I'm back somewhere between aggravated and irked. Time to save the PDF files and print a hard copy (like I always did with http://www.efile.com/), but it won't let me, contact support again. There response is that they don't allow the paying customers to save and print there returns until the IRS approves the returns. Suddenly I'm some where between disgusted and pissed. Since I have already paid there is not much I can do but wait for IRS approval, I wait. This morning I check and approval has been given. I down load and save the returns, ok, time to print a copy. The federal return has no info in lines 11 and 12a. Now I'm just pissed. The state return won't even open. Now I'm just plain pissed off. I contacted support once again. brb ... going to check and see what there response is.... OK, now I am TFPO to the point that I'm not even going to try to explain this crap to anyone.

For those that don't know TFPO = Totally Fucking Pissed Off (one step below ragging lunatic)

In the future I will gladly spend the $30 to $40 dollars and go back to http://www.efile.com/

Lasik Update #5

It's been about 2 1/2 weeks now and the "sand" has been totaly gone for over a week. The Dr. said that there would be some noticable fluxuations in my vision for a few weeks, the fluxuations in my long distance is only now and then but am still have ocasional fluxuations in my close up vision. If I'd have had a real clue as to how this would change things I would have gone ahead and financed it two years ago and save $1200, but it is still so worth the $3800.

If your just sitting there thinking about it and can afford it...... GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!

Sorry......

I haven't been keeping up with my posting for the last few days. I have found a piece of property that will require replacing the manufactured home with a new one so I have been looking at houses.

Hopefully Spike Daddy and Maxine will keep you satisfied until I can get more posting done.

Lasik Update #4

It has now been well over a week and all is great. I no longer have any "sand" issues with the right eye. I have completed the usage of one of the eye drops and the second one probably only has one or two more days before it runs out leaving me with the lubrucating drops for the next few weeks.
